Mike is an excellent driving instructor,he makes you feel very comfortable and confident when learning to drive. I had 8 months of lessons and passed 1st time! his block discount lessons saved me alot of money and are cheaper than alot of other instructors and driving schools. I would highly recomend him to everyone who is looking for a decent driving instructor.

Mike is an excellent instructor, he tests your abilities straight from the start. He is extremely reliable, constantly on time to lessons, and is very patient when you are not! He teaches you not only to drive safely and well, but also to be confident in your own ability. Even now, a year after i passed with his help, i still remember the wise sayings he would teach with manoeuvres. He does not waste your time unlike some other instructors either, first lesson, straight into the drivers seat! Definitely value for money! And above all, he is a great person to talk to, lessons become socials as he is such an easy person to talk to. I would recommend learning to drive with Mike to anybody, he makes the experience of a life time, a brilliant one.

I was scared about learning to drive as probably most people are but I needed to have more mobility when my wife was expecting and so I tried to find a driving school.
I had no need to worry! I found Mike who from the very begining gave me confidence. With me he needed lots of patience and I have to say he gave the self belief to persevere and pass my test. He certainly knows what people go through when I learning to drive and I am pleased I chose him. I couldn't have passed my test without his guidence.

After my first few lessons with Mike(who a friend recommended to me) one thing I noticed was that you definitely get your money’s worth; most driving instructors like to keep you held back a bit, taking things slow, never pushing you to the next level and ultimately costing you a fortune and making them a tonne of money! So as a pretty poor teenager obviously this was the last thing I wanted to happen. Now I’m not saying Mike likes to take you driving round the most awkward places possible on your first lesson, but you are taken to just outside of your comfort zone; This way you get more confident each time you drive and continue to until you’re at test standard. Driving within the limits of your comfort zone only wastes your money and to be honest you don't actually learn anything because you are never faced with new situations. I pre-booked the day of my test before I had even set foot in the driving seat so that I had a target to aim for, after about 30hrs of lessons in the space of two months I went in for my practical test and came out of it with a pass, not only a pass but also a clean sheet - 0 driving faults! And that is one of the unique things that Mike offers; not only will he teach you to test standard, but he will teach you to beyond test standard meaning that when it comes to taking the test you're already above what is expected - probably making you a safer driver than most of the people out there!

I would definitely recommend Mike to any of my friends and to anyone who is looking to pass their test and be safe on the roads, without it costing a fortune. And on-top of all of that; he’s a decent bloke too!
